Respect for the earth, environmental education and genuine products. Thursday, December 3 at 7 p.m., at Dudi (Via Quintino Sella 71), “Orto(in)Colto. AgriCultura al Borgo”, the new project sponsored by the social cooperative Orto Capovolto, will be presented. It intends to guide the children of the Borgo Vecchio neighbourhood in the creation of an educational garden.
Orto Capovolto is a young social cooperative in Palermo that operates in the field of urban agriculture – their goal is to promote, educate and undertake initiatives related to urban green spaces. TheOrto(in)Coltoproject promotes the creation of educational gardens in order to take positive action against the phenomena of non-completion of school. That's why this neighbourhood, which wasrecently involved in a process of urban regeneration, was chosen, and it will be the children of Borgo Vecchio who will take the first steps down the routes of AgriCultura al Borgo, starting from their school, the Federico II Institute, located in Via della Vigna. Natura in Tasca promotes the culture of Sicilian food – healthy and sustainable – and for this reason has chosen to support this project with a portion of the proceeds from its Christmas sales.
