TASCA D’ALMERITA AT THE “5 GRAPPOLI” AWARD

TASCA D’ALMERITA AT THE “5 GRAPPOLI” AWARD

Plenty of awards in the 2012 edition of the “Duemilavini” guide to Italian wines, published by AIS Rome and Bibenda Publishing

Edition No. 13 of the Italian Sommeliers Association’s reference guide awards Tasca d’Almerita with major recognitions. Three “5 Grappoli” awards – this excellence threshold for DUEMILAVINI is set at 91 cents – for just as many labels by Tasca d’Almerita: Rosso del Conte 2007, Diamante d’Almerita 2010, and Chardonnay 2009.

The winning wines awarded the 5 Grappoli are easily identifiable in the guide: their labels are published in the page dedicated to each wine-maker firm.

In addition to the wine awards, there has also been an important recognition for the Company: a survey carried out by Ais-Bibenda and “Duemilavini” among the wine lovers all over Italy crowned Tasca d’Almerita with the “Azienda dell’Anno 2011 Sicilia” award.

The yearly celebration accompanied by the presentation of the guide is held on Monday, October 31, at the Hotel Rome Cavalieri, AIS’s premises in Rome, followed by a gala dinner managed by Gianfranco Vissani and wine tasting of all the Five award-winning “Grappoli”.

ABOUT THE GUIDE – The publication’s Publishing Director is Franco M. Ricci, Chairman of the Italian Sommelier Association of Rome, Chairman of the Worldwide Sommelier Association and CEO of  BIBENDA, the glossy magazine on wine culture.
