Rosso del Conte – Contea di Sclafani Doc 2008 – 91 points
“Juicy flavors of boysenberry, currant, underbrush and tarry smoke are backed by a waft of spiced pumpkin loaf in this lively red. Well-balanced, with silky tannins and a lingering, aromatic finish”
Rosso del Conte was born in 1970 and today is the wine that everybody calls the real Super Tasca. It was created by Giuseppe Tasca, Count of Almerita, a passionate, tenacious and visionary man who wanted to make a wine from Nero d’Avola and Perricone, probably Sicily’s most representative red grapes, a wine whose elegance and longevity would fully express the distinctive of the Regaleali estate.
Cygnus – Sicilia Igt 2010 – 90 points
“Rich in flavor, with a sleek form, this well-knit red is marked by a pronounced note of gingerbread cookie, accompanied by roasted plum, smoke and fig paste details. Light tannins emerge on the lasting, spicy finish”
Produced with Nero d'Avola and Cabernet Sauvignon. The swan that Wagner saw at Villa Tasca and which ordained the birth of Parsifal. A swan that is young, pure, enchanted, and ultra-modern.
