Regaleali Rosso

One of the most famous Nero d'Avola wines of Sicily. From the heart of the island, from gentle hills cultivated with wheat and grapes. As they have been for thousands of years, Regaleali Rosso expresses the style and class of the best-known European wineries. It was the first wine to exalt the expressive and timeless wealth of the noble Sicilian tradition.

Production method:
In stainless steel tanks.
Fermentation temperature:
26/28°C.
Maceration:
Skin contact for 10 days.
Malolactic fermentation:
Totally developed.
Ageing:
50% of the must in stainless steel tanks, the remaining 50% in 30 and 60 hl Slavonian oak barrels for 6 months.
Alcohol content:
13.50% Vol.
Wine analytical data:
pH 3.67 - TA 5.50 g/l - RS 1.70 g/l - TE 31.00 g/l.

Bright, intense ruby red.

Bouquet:

Cherry, sour cherry, mulberry, blueberry. Vanilla and sage.

Taste:

Soft. Balanced tannins. Pleasant taste of red berries.

Despite its long history, the Nero d'Avola grape has only become widely known and loved in recent years; now, this native Sicilian variety has reached great heights all over Italy and the world. Passion and dedication lie behind our red monovarietal, starting with the low yields in the vineyard which guarantee a high-quality vintage of notable concentration. By ageing it partly in wood and parly in steel vats, we can supplement the fresh fruity notes of a young wine with elegant spices and liquorice which bode very well for further maturing.
