Madamarosè

A rosé designed from the vineyard, which demonstrates how for Tenuta Sallier de La Tour, Syrah is a variety with great potential, valued throughout the Monreale area. Just a few kilometers from the sea but immersed in the foothills of the Jato Valley, this rosé expresses itself on the nose with delicate notes of fresh red fruit and spices, and on the palate with spontaneous fruit, savoriness, and freshness. All of this is thanks to the landscape’s gentle hillsides, fresh medium-textured soils with a predominantly sandy texture, and diurnal range.

Vineyard

The west exposure ensures cool temperatures and the right amount of light during the growing season.
The training system is espalier, with guyot pruning and a density of 4,166 vines per hectare.

Soil

The Vigna Tenuta Grande has silty textured soil (26.8 percent sand and 22.5% clay), capable of retaining moisture for a long time which promotes greater vigor in the vines. The magnesium/potassium ratio is particularly balanced, favoring the metabolism of sugars and proteins, as well as the accumulation of chlorophyll pigments and carotenes. The increased vine vigor gives the ripening grapes a cooler, lower alcoholic expression with less structure, more suitable for fresh vintages and rosé wines.
